MOHANLAL BIOGRAPHY

Mohanlal was born in Elanthur in Pathanamthitta district of kerala , to Mr Vishwanathan Nair , a government employee , and Mrs Santhakumari, and later shifted to hi father's place Mudavanmukal in Thiruvananthapuram..

He also had an elder brother named Pyarelal, in his mothers own words,'quite, avery quite child' is how we can characterize young Mohanlal. He did his schooling from Mudavanmukal school and model school (Thiruvananthapuram). Incidentally he known famous director and his personal good friend Priyadarshan(with whom he has worked in the maximum No.of films 29) from childhood.

Thought not the best of friends at the time (Priyan recall them fighting over the same girls), they had one common passion that brought them to gether cinema. Priyadarshan still fondly remembers the hours they'd spend to gether in the collage canteen discussing cinema...
